Bowl Timeline

Friday, December 3 – Application deadline

Sunday, December 5 – Bowl selections announced

Monday, December 6 – Lottery results, with the exception of the National Championship, are available (emailed and available on your online account). Credit cards will be charged for the bowl game shortly after results are made available.

Friday, December 10 (If applicable) – National Championship lottery results emailed and available via your online account

Monday, December 16 – Mobile tickets, with the exception of the National Championship Game, are available to manage.

Who is Eligible?

  • 2021 Lottery Eligible Alums, Benefactors, Monograms and Parent
  • 2021 Football Season Ticket Members
  • Current Notre Dame Full Time Faculty and Staff

 How do I apply for tickets?

  • Visit und.com/BuyTickets
  • Click on Postseason Application
  • Log in using your ticket account number and your password for your account. If you do not know your password, click forgot password on the log in screen.
  • Once logged in, you will see your 2021 Bowl Application

When is the deadline to apply?
Friday, December 3, 2021

When will bowl selections be announced?
Bowl selections are announced December 5, 2021

Why is the deadline to apply prior to the bowl selection?
Due to the short time period after the bowl selection, all applications must be received by the deadline to ensure lottery results are made available as quickly as possible.

Application FAQs

How many tickets can I apply for?
Bowl limits will be listed on the online application.

Do I need to receive an email to order tickets via my online order form?
No. An email will be sent containing online log in information but it is not necessary to receive the email. The information contained in the email is the same log in information used for season tickets or lottery applications.

If I fall into multiple categories of those who are eligible, will I receive multiple ticket applications or be able to apply for additional tickets?
No. You will receive one application with the highest priority.

Are all the tickets the same price?
No. Prices vary from bowl to bowl. Each bowl also contains multiple prices. You will be able to order tickets for at least once specific price level based on your relationship with the university.

Will I receive tickets for a bowl game in which Notre Dame is not selected?
No. Notre Dame will only receive tickets for the bowl game in which we are selected.

Are students eligible for tickets?
Yes. Students will receive an email with more specific information shortly after the bowl announcement.

Are there any fees above the price of the tickets?
No. All fees are included in the price of the ticket.

Why does my application total amount due show $0?
Your application will show $0 due since we are not charging your credit card at this time. Your credit card will be charged once Notre Dame is selected to a bowl and lottery results have been finalized. 

Lottery and Allocation FAQs

When will I know lottery results?
Results will be sent to you via email on Monday, December 6th. You will also be able to view your results under the My Accounts page of your online ticket account.

Is it possible that I will receive tickets at a lower price than what I applied for?
Yes. You will be able to order tickets at one specific price level. Should you receive tickets priced less than what you applied for, you will be charged at the price you were successful for.

If I require ADA seating, what should I do?
Please order tickets via the online process. After ordering, please make the ticket office aware of any accommodations you may need via email at tickets@nd.edu

Will I increase my odds of winning by applying for more bowls?
No. it will not increase your odds by applying to more bowls.

Will I be able to group tickets with another member of the Notre Dame Family?
No. Group seating is not available for bowl games.

Mobile Tickets FAQs

Will tickets be mobile?
Yes. All bowl game tickets are mobile. Your mobile experience will vary based on the selected bowl. Once we are selected and results are completed, you will receive instructions on how to download and manage your mobile tickets. 

Will I be able to transfer my mobile?
Yes. Similar to regular season, mobile tickets will be transferable.

Can I receive paper tickets?
No. The bowl only allows for mobile tickets. 

What if I don’t have a smart phone?
A member of your party can add the tickets to his/her smartphone wallet and then scan the tickets at the gates.

Will a screenshot, photocopy, or a picture of my ticket be permitted for entry?
No, a mobile ticket must be provided either within your Notre Dame Ticket Account on your mobile device or within your phone’s digital wallet in order to gain entry into the stadium. Please note: Photocopies, scans, or pictures on a mobile phone of hard tickets will not be permitted for entry.

National Championship Game FAQs

Will National Championship Game results be made available at the same time as the semifinal games?
No. Results will be made available late in the week by Friday, December 10th

When will I be charged and/or receive mobile tickets for the championship game?
Your credit card will be charged and your tickets will be available after the semifinal game. Details will be emailed shortly after the semifinal game. 

If I am successful for semifinal game tickets, will I receive tickets to the championship automatically?
No. You must apply for the National Championship Game tickets as well. 

Does apply for the semifinal games increase/decrease my chances of winning National Championship game tickets?
No. Each game is considered independent in the lottery.
