Both semifinals and the title game of the 2000 BIG EAST Conference Women’s Soccer Championship will be broadcast live via the internet, following arrangements made by the University of Notre Dame, the BIG EAST and WVFI AM 640.

Live internet broadcasts of the games may be accessed via the official Notre Dame (www.und.com) and BIG EAST (www.bigeast.org) websites or WVFI’s official site (www.wvfi.nd.edu). The semi-final action gets underway on Friday, Nov. 3, at 5:00 p.m., when Syracuse takes on 24th-ranked Connecticut. Boston College and top-ranked Notre Dame will meet in the second semifinal, beginning 30 minutes after the completion of the first game.

Sunday’s championship game is set to begin at 12:05 p.m., with the winner receiving an automatic berth in the 48-team field for the NCAA Championship.

Members of the WVFI sports staff will handle play-by-play and analysis duties while former Notre Dame All-American Jen Grubb also will assist with analysis during the broadcasts.

The championship game also will be telecast live on six regional sports cable stations, including Fox Sports Chicago, Fox Sports New England, Fox Sports Net Florida, Madison Square Garden Network, Empire Sports and Comcast Sports Philadelphia.

The following stations will air delayed telecasts of the championship game: Fox Sports Net Pittsburgh (Nov. 5, 2:00 p.m.) and Home Team Sports (Nov. 6, 2:00 p.m.).
