The 2006 BIG EAST Softball Championship schedule has been updated. The first two games of the tournament, scheduled to be played at 1:00 p.m. EDT at the Belleville Complex and Ivy Field, have been pushed back to at 2:00 p.m. EDT start time.

The first day of the tournament on Thursday, May 11, was completely rained out.

In an attempt to get back on schedule, the tournament has been split into two sites. Games will now be played at the Belleville Complex in South Bend, Ind., and at Ivy Field on the University of Notre Dame’s campus.

Here is the updated schedule (as of 10:00 a.m. EDT, Friday, May 12):

Friday, May 12th
Game One: No. 4 Syracuse vs. No. 5 DePaul, 2:00 p.m. – Ivy Field
Game Two: No. 1 Louisville vs. No. 8 St. John’s, 4:30 p.m. – Ivy Field

Game Three: No. 2 USF vs. No. 7 Pittsburgh, 2:00 p.m. – Belleville Complex
Game Four: No. 3 Notre Dame vs. No. 6 Providence, 4:30 p.m. – Belleville Complex

Game Five: Winner Game One vs. Winner Game Two, 7:00 p.m. (tentative) – Ivy Field

Game Six: Winner Game Three vs. Winner Game Four, 7:00 p.m. (tentative) – Belleville Complex

Saturday, May 13th
Winner Game Five vs. Winner Game Six, 6:00 p.m. – Belleville Complex
