Notre Dame, Ind. – Notre Dame will play DePaul, South Florida and Villanova twice as part of its 2006-07 16-game BIG EAST men’s basketball slate.
As was the case with last season’s 16-game conference slate, each team will face 10 opponents once and three opponents twice (home and away), but will not play two teams.
In addition to playing the Blue Demons, Bulls and Wildcats both home and away, the Irish play host to Louisville, Marquette, Providence, Seton Hall and West Virginia and will face Cincinnati, Georgetown, Rutgers, St, John’s and Syracuse on the road. The two schools Notre Dame will not play during the upcoming campaign are Connecticut and Pittsburgh.
Time and dates of each of these games will be announced at a later date.
Beginning in 2007-08, the BIG EAST Conference will play 18 league games with each school facing each once and three teams on a repeat basis.
