The Notre Dame-Purdue baseball game scheduled for Tuesday, May 14, in West Lafayette has been postponed, due to the continuation of a Purdue-Indiana Big Ten series that rolled over from the weekend due to rainouts.

The Irish and Boilermakers will attempt to reschedule the game later this week, possibly at Eck Stadium. Notre Dame already is slated to face Detroit on Wednesday (6:05) prior to the final BIG EAST series of the season, versus fellow conference co-leader Boston College on Friday night (6:05) and Saturday (noon doubleheader), with all those games at The Eck.

Notre Dame (36-14, 15-8 BIG EAST) – which also could add a makeup game vs. another team – already is one game shy of the 56-game maximum for a regular-season schedule, after the April 27th game vs. Arizona State was rained out (as was the makeup on the 27th)

If a makeup game is scheduled with Purdue, that information will be posted on the ND website (www.und.com) and the ND Sports Hotline (574-631-3000, option 3).
