Football:
Game Day Interviews – Post-game interviews at Notre Dame Stadium are held in in the Schivarelli Players’ Lounge adjacent to the rear entrance of the Irish Locker room. Both head coaches appear in the same interview room following the game. Audio and video from those interviews is piped live into the press box for media on deadline. Television and radio crews can receive audio through a mixer in the auditorium. All Notre Dame player interviews will also take place in the auditorium once the coaches are finished. Transcripts from both head coaches’ press conferences will be available shortly following the conclusion of their post-game comments. Typed post-game quotes from players of both teams will also be distributed in the press box following the game.

Mid-Week Interviews – Interviews with Notre Dame players and coaches will only take place on Tuesday through Thursday during a game week. All interviews should be arranged through the Notre Dame Athletic Communications office by calling or emailing Michael Bertsch (574-631-8642 or mbertsc1@nd.edu). A reminder: Media members are not permitted to contact players in their dormitory rooms at any time, and players are off-limits to media on Sundays, Mondays and Fridays.

A weekly schedule of player and coach availability will be produced by the Athletic Communications office each Sunday during the football season.

Coach Brian Kelly conducts a weekly teleconference-style press conference each Tuesday at Noon Eastern time at the Guglielmino Athletics Complex for the benefit of both local and out-of-town media. The 45-minute weekly conference is also distributed via satellite.

Interview Transcriptions – Both written and video transcriptions of the Tuesday press conference with Brian Kelly are available online at www.und.com by Tuesday afternoon.

Men’s Basketball:
Game Day Interviews – No interviews are conducted on the day of games. Post-game interviews for Notre Dame players take place in the Notre Dame locker room players’ lounge following a brief “cooling-off” period and once Coach Brey leaves for his post-game radio show obligations.

Post-game interviews with the visiting coach and head coach Mike Brey take place in the Hammes Auditorium. The visiting coach usually attends the press conferences first, followed by Mike Brey. Interviews with opposing players should be arranged through the visiting school’s Communications director.

Mid-Week Interviews – Interviews during the week are normally before practice. Members of the media are asked to contact Alan Wasielewski regarding practice times. Coach Brey and players are not available for interviews the day before a game.

Coach Brey conducts a teleconference-style press conference at the Hammes Auditorium. The schedule is determined prior to the season and is distributed to the media in early November. Media members are asked to contact Alan Wasielewski for those dates and times as well as the call-in number and passcode. Most of Brey’s teleconferences are streamed live on www.und.com.

Coach Brey also takes part in a weekly ACC Coaches’ teleconference. Media interested in that information should contact Brian Morrison (bmorrison@theacc.org) for teleconference information.

Women’s Basketball:
Post-Game Press Conferences – Notre Dame head coach Muffet McGraw and players, along with the visiting head coach and players, will be available to the media following a brief “cooling-off” period. Press conferences will be held in the Hammes Auditorium, located adjacent to Gate 1 on the first floor of the arena. Media members should submit player requests for post-game interviews to Josh Bates by the four-minute mark of the second half.

In-Season Interview Policy – All requests for Notre Dame player or coach interviews must be made through Josh Bates, Associate Communications Director, at (574) 631-6453. Please provide at least 24 hours notice for all interview requests and be aware that the student-athlete’s academic obligations will always take precedence. Interviews may also be done in person following practice. Since practice times vary, please contact Josh Bates for an updated schedule. On game days, no interviews will be granted prior to competition.
