NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Rumors are circulating about the status of two Notre Dame assistant coaches.

Irish offensive coordinator, Kevin Rogers, find himself in the mix of name regarding the head coaching position at Rutgers. Terry Shea will vacate the position at the end of the season.

“I first of all think it’s great that Kevin Roger’s name is being mentioned,” Irish head coach Bob Davie said. “Once again, there’s been no official contact.”

Also, Davie confirmed that receivers coach Urban Meyer interviews for the head coaching spot at Bowling Green. Meyer is in his fifth season with Notre Dame.

“Urban Meyer also has an opportunity to be a head coach,” Davie said. “He’s been contacted by Bowling Green, already met with Bowling Green. He’s an outstanding coach. I love him. He brings a lot of things. He is a difference maker, but there are some other guys on the staff that I feel the same way about, as well.”

While both names are being tossed around with respected schools, nothing has been made official.
