NOTRE DAME, Ind. — Junior Ashley Armstrong and sophomore Talia Campbell were named Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars, the organization announced today.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative grade point average is 3.50.
Armstrong was recently named a Capital One Academic All-American for the second consecutive year. In the 2013-14 season, the junior had four even or under par rounds and posted one top-10 and three top-25 finishes. Campbell turned in her best finish of the season at Notre Dame’s first-ever Atlantic Coast Conference Championship, tying for 13th place. Both athletes were named to the All-ACC Academic team earlier this month.
