The Notre Dame women’s soccer team (22-0-1) – ranked No. 1 in all four national polls since early in the 2006 season – will play host to Colorado (14-5-4) in the NCAA third round, on Friday, Nov. 17, at Alumni Field (7:30 EST) … the Irish – who posted NCAA wins last weekend over Oakland (7-1) and Wisconsin-Milwaukee (1-0) – will be looking to advance to the NCAA quarterfinals for the 10th time since 1994 (only UNC and Santa Clara have more quarterfinal appearances in that span) … tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for children, students and senior citizens – with the first 100 Notre Dame/Saint Mary’s/Holy Cross students admitted free of charge … ND has posted a team-record 30 straight wins at home (6th-longest in D-I history) and owns a 37-11-1 all-time record (.765) in the NCAAs (30-3-0 at Alumni Field) … the Irish earlier this season won their 10th BIG EAST regular-season title and then won the BIG EAST Tournament for the ninth time, after a 2-0 semifinal vs. Marquette and 4-2 final vs. Rutgers (both at UConn) … see www.cubuffs.com for complete info. on Colorado (2-1 NCAA wins over Colorado College and Denver).
