NOTRE DAME, Ind. – After helping the Irish to a 6-1 win over No. 48 Michigan State last Saturday, University of Notre Dame men’s tennis player Greg Andrews has earned his second BIG EAST Player of the Week citation, the conference announced Tuesday.

Andrews currently sits at 6-2 in singles this spring season and has earned two BIG EAST weekly scrolls this season after winning three last year.

Against the Spartans Andrews won at one singles and doubles. He opened the day by teaming with Spencer Talmadge to earn an 8-3 win over Gijs Linders and Harry Jadun at one doubles. Andrews followed up that performance with a straight-set win over Drew Lind (6-2, 6-3) at one singles.

The Richland, Mich., native, who moved up to No. 71 in Tuesday’s ITA singles poll, and the rest of his Irish teammates return to Eck Tennis Pavilion at 1 p.m. Saturday when they welcome in No. 21 Michigan.
