NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Notre Dame senior Amywren Miller turned in an impressive performance against Michigan State last week and was named the first BIG EAST Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Week for the 2010-11 season, as announced by the league Wednesday afternoon.
Miller posted a pair of individual wins to go along with a relay victory in Notre Dame’s 150-93 victory at Michigan State (Oct. 29). Miller won the 50 freestyle in 23.46 and the 100 freestyle in 52.54. In addition to winning the meet’s two fastest events, she boosted the 200 medley relay to a first-place showing to help the Irish earn their first dual-meet win on the season.
Miller and the Irish return home at 1:00 p.m. (ET) Saturday (Nov. 6) to face Purdue at the Rolfs Aquatic Center.
