NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The Atlantic Coast Conference announced that the 2017 ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament will be played at the HTC Center in Conway, South Carolina from March 1-5. The Irish will look to win their fourth straight ACC Tournament

In its 40th year, the ACC Tournament will be held in South Carolina roughly 20 years after Rock Hill, S.C., hosted the tournament from 1992-96. The city of Conway neighbors Myrtle Beach, S.C., one of the country’s most popular spring break destinations.

The tournament will be played at the HTC Center, home to the Coastal Carolina men’s and women’s basketball teams. A $35 million facility, the HTC Center holds approximately 3,600 people. The HTC Center was built in 2012 and previously hosted the Big South men’s and women’s basketball tournaments for three seasons.

Spring Break Booked

Myrtle Beach is best known for its sandy beaches, but the city has many attractions for fans to enjoy during the month of March. The Carolina Opry and the Alabama Theatre are currently scheduling shows for the spring of 2017. Those familiar with Myrtle Beach consider these entertainment venues to be two of the city’s top attractions.

Fans who have been cooped up in the warmth of their homes throughout the entire winter might prefer a tee time at Legends Golf Resort. The resort consists of five different championship courses, spanning along Myrtle Beach.
