SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame softball team’s Atlantic Coast Conference-opening series with the Virginia Cavaliers set for this weekend will be altered due to inclement weather in the Charlottesville area.
The Fighting Irish are now set to play a doubleheader Friday, with first pitch set for 2:30. With rain in the forecast for the majority of the day Saturday, the teams will reconvene and close the series with the originally scheduled 2 p.m. start on Sunday. The doubleheader Friday will be streamed on ACC Network Extra, while the series finale will stay on ACC Network as originally scheduled.
