NOTRE DAME, Ind. — Expanded broadcast coverage of Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) athletic events for 2015 fall Olympic sport seasons will provide ample opportunities for conference members to compete on ESPN platforms and the Regional Sports Network (RSN). One of the most visible beneficiaries of the added coverage will be the University of Notre Dame men’s soccer team, with 11 of the 17 Fighting Irish regular season matches scheduled to air on ESPNU, ESPN3 or an RSN affiliate entity. An additional two matches have been added to the Big Ten Network broadcast calendar to push the overall total of televised Notre Dame contests to 13.

A total of 38 men’s soccer matches are included in the 169 scheduled broadcasts that the ACC will present across all Olympic sports this fall, an increase from the 25 men’s soccer broadcasts that aired via the conference’s partnership with ESPN and RSN last season. Of Notre Dame’s nine scheduled matches at Alumni Stadium in 2015, a conference-high seven home contests will stream on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.

Notre Dame home matchups with UAB (Sept. 6, 2 p.m.), Clemson (Sept. 12, 7 p.m.), Xavier (Sept. 15, 7 p.m.), defending NCAA champion Virginia (Sept. 25, 7 p.m.), Michigan (Oct. 7, 7 p.m.), Duke (Oct. 10, noon) and the regular season finale against Pittsburgh (Oct. 31, 7 p.m.) are scheduled to air live with Eastern Standard Time kickoffs on ESPN3. Remaining home matches will be broadcast by WatchND and available on both the WatchND app and UND.com.

An additional four Notre Dame road matches were included in the conference broadcast schedule that was released this week. The Fighting Irish and North Carolina will kick at 5 p.m. (ET) on ESPNU Sept. 18 at Fetzer Field in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The matchup is the only scheduled ACC men’s soccer contest on ESPNU during the 2015 regular season.

Notre Dame and North Carolina State (Oct. 4, 1 p.m.) will air on ESPN3, with Fighting Irish matches at Virginia Tech (Oct. 16, 5:30 p.m.) and Wake Forest (Oct. 23, 7 p.m.) available on both ESPN3 and RSN. Specific clearances for scheduled RSN events, including stations and markets where those matches will be available, are expected to be announced at a later date.

Both Notre Dame matches that will open the season at the adidas/IU Credit Union Classic in Bloomington will be featured on the Big Ten Network. The Irish and Maryland match on Aug. 28 at 5 p.m. will be carried on BTN2Go, with a 2 p.m. showdown on Aug. 30 against host Indiana airing on the Big Ten Network.
