2021 Policies and Procedures for Student Attendance

Notre Dame Athletics is pleased to announce that a limited number of students (Notre Dame, St. Mary’s College and Holy Cross) will be allowed to attend the remaining Men’s Basketball games and Volleyball matches at Purcell Pavilion. In addition, as physical distancing capacities allow, students will be permitted to attend regular-season outdoor varsity sporting events during the spring semester.

Entry Procedures

  • Men’s Basketball
    • Tickets are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. 
    • For the Wednesday, March 3 game vs. NC State at 7 pm, tickets can be picked up from 1-5 pm on Wednesday, March 3.
    • For the Saturday, March 6 game vs. Florida State at 12 pm, tickets can be picked up from 1-5 pm on Friday, March 5.
    • Tickets will be available at the Murnane Family Ticket Office at Purcell Pavilion.
    • Students will be able to pick up a ticket for themselves and a ticket for one additional student as long as they present both student ID’s.  
    • All students with tickets should enter Gate 1 beginning 1 hour prior to the game.
    • Students will be required to sit in their assigned seat listed on their ticket.
  • Volleyball
    • Space is limited and students will enter on a first-come, first-served basis starting 30 minutes prior to the match. 
    • Students may enter via Gate 1 of Purcell Pavilion. 
    • Students will be directed to a seating area and must maintain physical distancing (seated individually).
  • Outdoor Spring Sports (Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse, Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Baseball, Softball)
    • Space is limited and students will enter on a first-come, first-served basis 
    • Gates will open 30-minutes prior to the start of the game
  • Blue-Gold Spring Football Game
    • More information will be communicated at our earliest opportunity.

For entry to all sporting events, students are required to show a valid student ID  (ND, SMC, HC students)

 

Health & Safety

  • For indoor events (basketball and volleyball), students will be seated individually (classroom-style). Group seating will not be allowed. 
  • For outdoor events, students will be directed to sit on HERE stickers in the designated student section (not to exceed groups of 4s). 
  • Masks must be worn on campus at all times and are a requirement (without exception for medical reasons) to enter the venue.
  • All attendees are required to practice physical distancing throughout the duration of the event. 
  • No food will be offered in concession stands.  Thank you for your understanding, as the health and safety of our community is our highest priority.
  • Bottled water, soft drinks, hot chocolate, and coffee will be available for purchase at men’s basketball games only
  • As a reminder guests are prohibited from bringing their own food or beverages into the event.
