Notre Dame has announced its special designation home football game for the 2008 season.

2008 Football Special Designation Games Announced

Nov. 19, 2007

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame athletics department has announced the 2008 special designation home football games:

Sept. 6, 2008 vs. San Diego State — SENIOR ALUMNI GAME
Oct. 4 OR Nov. 1, 2008 vs. Stanford OR Pittsburgh — PARENTS GAME (see details below)
Nov. 22, 2008 vs. Syracuse — ALUMNI FAMILY

Please note that there have been some changes to the special designation games for 2008, as detailed below.

The following modifications are a result of all-time record ticket demand for the 2006 and 2007 football seasons and the ever-growing Notre Dame alumni population. The University remains committed to providing football ticket access to its many important constituencies.

Notre Dame contributing alumni who graduated 35 or more years ago receive priority status on their alumni ticket application for the designated Senior Alumni game (Sept. 6 vs. San Diego State). Due to record ticket demand from the growing senior alumni population, it is no longer possible to provide guaranteed ticket access for that game. In the event that demand from senior alumni again exceeds supply, as it did in 2007, tickets will be allotted in descending order to the most senior alumni. For example, tickets will be assigned first to those in the 50-year club and then descending in years since graduation. It is a priority of the University to make as many tickets as possible available to the Senior Alumni population.

For 2008, parents of returning Notre Dame undergraduate students may apply for up to four tickets to one home football game (Oct. 4 vs. Stanford OR Nov. 1 vs. Pittsburgh). Two tickets to the chosen game will be guaranteed. Parents that request four tickets will be guaranteed two tickets and will be entered into the general lottery, if necessary, for the two additional tickets requested.

The Parents game for incoming (first-year and transfer) students will be determined at a later date, based on demand and availability. That game will be announced in early June 2008.

For the designated Alumni Family game (Nov. 22 vs. Syracuse), contributing alumni have the option to apply for up to four tickets on their lottery application for that game only.

Minimums and qualifications apply for all contributing alumni. If you have questions about your alumni status, please contact the Alumni Files Office at 574-631-7959.

Please call the Notre Dame ticket office for more information. A detailed brochure will be sent with your application in late April. The Notre Dame ticket office can be reached at 574-631-7356, or online at www.und.com/tickets.
