One of the most unique events in collegiate sports is taking place on the campus of the University of Notre Dame this week, the University Boxing Championships – also known as the Bengal Bouts – began its 78th season on Wednesday, Feb. 21, and will wrap up with the finals on Saturday, March 3 in the Joyce Center Arena.
For the first time ever, Irish boxing fans will be able to view the final bouts free via Fighting Irish All-Access. With audio coverage provided by Notre Dame’s student radio station – WVFI – friends and fans across the world will be able to experience the intensity and passion that the competitors bring to the ring. All proceeds from the Bengal Bouts go to the Holy Cross Missions in Bangladesh.
