Was the third-leading scorer on the Notre Dame team last year at 7.6 points per game and was the third-leading rebounder on the team at 5.1 per game…..had 97 career blocked shots, which is second in school history and his 41 as a senior was the third highest total in school history…was one of three senior captains.

The starting point guard for the Irish as a senior, leading the team in assists with 201 while committing just 110 turnovers, or one for every 8.6 minutes of play…his 201 assists in his senior season was the fourth-highest total in Irish single-season history…scored in double-figures in 11 of his final 16 games…was the second-leading scorer on the team as a senior at 10.0 points per game and scored 301 points, a career-high along with his 201 assists…was one of three Irish players to start all 30 games last season…finished the season ranked No. 11 in the country in assists per game at 6.7…in the BIG EAST, was first in assists for overall games (6.7), fourth in assist/turnover ratio for overall games, second in assists for conference games (6.5), seventh in assist/turnover ratio for conference games and 14th in steals for conference games (1.8)…served as a senior captain…speedy point guard who is good penetrator and excellent defensive player.

Missed seven games last season in December and January due to a stress fracture in his foot. Returned to the starting lineup against Seton Hall (Feb. 24) for the first time due to injury to Phil Hickey…had a season-high 10 rebounds vs. Seton Hall…started the final four games at center…returned to action against Boston College (Jan. 9) after missing seven games due to a stress fracture in his foot that was diagnosed on Dec. 5…missed the Dec. 2 game against Rutgers to attend the funeral of his grandfather in North Carolina….had four points and tied a then season-high with seven rebounds vs. Providence (Feb. 17)… had a season-high 10 rebounds vs. Pittsburgh (Feb. 13) and also scored six points…came off the bench to score a season-high seven points with seven rebounds in win over St. John’s (Jan. 31)…had seven rebounds vs. West Virginia (Jan. 27)…broke a glass backboard during a practice session at Carnegie-Mellon University on Jan. 12 and injured his head when the falling rim hit him…had two cuts on his head that required stitches — one cut with five stitches the other with four…the next day, had a then season-high five points and five rebounds vs. Pittsburgh…spent part of the summer of ’95 as a member of the People-to-People Sports Committee team that toured Germany and Holland.
AS A SOPHOMORE:
Led the team in rebounding at 5.3 boards per game…had a career-high 13 rebounds vs. Duquesne…scored a career-high 13 points with four rebounds in win over Xavier and had seven points with six rebounds in win over Boston College…started nine games last season and has 12 career starts…his 28 blocked shots was the sixth-highest in school single-season history…had a career-high three assists vs. Dayton…grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds vs. Columbia in addition to scoring five points…tied a career-high with 10 points vs. Oregon and had seven rebounds vs. the Ducks…scored 10 points in the opener against Valparaiso.
AS A FRESHMAN:
Saw action in 28 games and made his first collegiate start in first game vs. Loyola (Ill.)…also started the Marquette game and vs. North Carolina…in win vs. Marquette, brought down two rebounds in 15 minutes of action…tied a career high with nine rebounds vs. Manhattan and scored four points…scored four points with five rebounds vs. Providence in 21 minutes…also had six points vs. Texas in Maui Classic.
