With the Irish, Scott has restructured promotional planning and gameday strategies across all athletic programs, including constructing new game presentations, digital and second-screen experiences, in-game hosts, and new strategies for in-game activations working with the band, cheer, tech services, and video production staff. He works closely with ticketing, marketing, sales, Notre Dame Global Partners, and Altius Sports Partners to fulfill department goals.

Scott came to Notre Dame from Elon University, where he was the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Fan Engagement. With Elon, he was responsible for revenue generation and fan experience at all Phoenix athletic events by designing, implementing, and executing marketing, advertising, promotional, game atmosphere, and ticket sales plans for all 17 sports. He served as the Sport Administrator for the Dance team, which won the National Championship in 2022. Under his guidance, Elon saw record numbers in attendance, ticket sales, and student attendance. He was part of the team that opened Elon’s $50 Million state-of-the-art Schar Center and headed the reconnaissance team for the first game versus #1 ranked North Carolina.

Prior to his role at Elon, Scott was an Account Strategist with WilsonMcGuire Creative in Winston-Salem, N.C. In his role, Scott led the account and media department for a full-service advertising agency, utilizing customer-centric strategies to develop a strong knowledge of each client and their business. Scott’s clients included Wake Forest Athletics, Pinehurst Resort, USGA, Winston-Salem Open, Wyndham Championship, and Pine Needles Golf Lodge.

Before working at WilsonMcGuire, Scott was the Director of Sales and Marketing at Immersion Media in Fayetteville, N.C. He was part of the senior leadership team and directly oversaw the sales and marketing of the digital media firm, including ScoreShots, a statistical data visualization tool that was sold to PrestoSports to integrate into their school’s official athletic sites.

Prior to his time at Immersion Media, Scott was the Director of Marketing, Licensing, Ticket Sales, and The Bulldog Club at Samford University in Birmingham, AL, for four years. In his role at Samford, Scott oversaw the marketing, ticket sales, donor club, video, and licensing units. He transitioned to Samford from UAB, where he worked on the ISP Sports sponsorship team for the Blazers. He began his career in New York City, working with Fox, Nat Geo Channel, TV Guide, and Winnercomm in television advertising sales.

Scott, a North Carolina native, is married to the former Tracy Linville. They have two sons, Wyatt (13) and Cole (12). He enjoys watching his children play sports, outdoor cooking, and playing golf.
