SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The series opening contest with the Boston College Eagles has been postponed as the game entered the top of the sixth inning Friday night at Melissa Cook Stadium. The Fighting Irish had just scored the game-tying run when weather picked up and the game was postponed due to weather.
Play will resume at noon Saturday and play will begin in the top of the sixth inning, tied at two. Following the conclusion of the first game, the regularly scheduled second game will occur.
Between games Saturday, there will be a senior day ceremony to celebrate the careers of academic seniors Bryn Boznanski, Karina Gaskins, Cassidy Grimm, Carlli Kloss, Mikayla LaPlaca and Mac Vasquez.
